| We took Tyler to the open day at the local animal shelter last week for his birthday and he loved it so much we thought we'd get some food and go up again this weekend. Little did we know that the horses and donkeys aren't normaly in pens so they were roaming free.
Hungry horses and visitors with bags of food makes for a scary experience. Anyway the workers there gave us this stick thing to scare them away as they were following us, we were feeding the goats (which were penned in) and as we went to make our way to feed the cats this horse started trotting towards me, showed no sign of stopping and I panicked went to turn away and get out of it's way and fell over a rock and landed on my knee. Obviously being pregnant my mum and OH freaked out but I didn't touch tummy at all my knee took all the damage and bloody hell does it hurt. My actual bone aches, I'm such a wimp and don't do well with injuries at the best of times but on my flipping knee - I can barely move around as it is without this extra hinderance.
I hope it's gone by my next dr visit too or I bet he'll tell me off for not getting baby checked out (but I could feel him moving almost straight away so knew he was fine)
needless to say I now hate horses and wil not be taking them any food again! |

| lol Claire yes please! actually no that would hurt too much. Im normally brave and take things like this on the chin but when your struggling with what feels like an elephant sized bump and finding it hard to get around anyway to go and cripple one of my knees just takes the pee resulting in a very miserable, whiney moany me which is great for my OH haha. |

| ooohh no thats sounds painful!
TBH the people at the animal shelter should NEVER allow visitors in to the field with food...horses can get really stroppy and dangerous when there is food around....like most animals! 2 of ours are like the devil with food and you literally have to put their food in piles far apart cos they are so possessive! |

| yeh Lisa it did end up a bit scary tbh, the donkeys were fighting eachother and they aren't your average normal size donkey they're cyprus ones which are just as big as horses. It wouldn't have taken much for one of them to just knock into us and trample us!
They must leave all the horses and donkeys out so they have more space to roam the only things in pens are the goats and the dogs. :/ |
