They should feck off - if they cant afford it then they cant afford it - I'd be ashamed to beg like that! |

| Do you not think though that there are more needy people of £50k or whatever and that begging for it knowing that really you should have just saved harder and longer when there are people much worse off who have no choice?! |

| To be fair there are some people who no matter how long or hard they saved for would never save £50k no matter how much they scrimped. For some people a lotto win or handout be it from strangers/family/friends would be the only way they could ever get a deposit for a house. I do agree there are people worse off but. At first glance I thought it was going to be £50k to a charity. I still would love someone to hand me £50k and I certainly wouldnt hand it back thinking I should just save it myself.... I wouldnt publicly beg for it though. Hmmm ebay is anonymous kinda but right.... hehehe! Its all dreams lisa dont worry! |

| there's no way on earth we could save £1000 nevermind 50,000 we have just come to terms with not owning a house anytime soon i think it's totally fine to put something up like that, if someone wants to give it away, why not??? they are being totally honest about what it's for so no harm done |

| there are loads of people worse off but this is the kind of thing that some rich people go for isn't it! thinking along the lines of well they thought outside the box so they deserve this 50k. I wouldn't ever ask for money either and tbh Id rather scrimp and save and achieve something myself rather than taking a hand out from someone but there are days when I wish some rich millionnaire would just let me have one days worth of bank interest. I used to look after a client who sold his company and with some of the proceeds were on a bank deposit but the daily interest was hundreds of thousands... as if he would notice if he gave me one day's worth! still waiting though. |

| I dont think its about saving harder or longer as Im def not gonna be able to ever get a deposit together for a house in time to actually pay off a mortgage but then we have elected to be content with that and simply continue renting til the kids stick us in a home lol. I certainly couldnt imagine ever begging like that. |

i think it's totally fine to put something up like that, if someone wants to give it away, why not??? they are being totally honest about what it's for so no harm done I suppose if someone was going to get cross about this it would make more sense to be cross at the people who give them the £50k, at the end of the day it was their decision to give it towards a strangers house than to a Cancer charity etc. I respect the fact they have been honest, its not like they said their daughter needs an op or something and then pocketed it! |

| If i'm honest, I can't see anything wrong with it. If someone wants to give out random 50ks, well, theres hope for me yet! The only way I would ever be in a position to get the deposit for a house together, is if both my parents died, or my grandparents, and then i still dont know for sure if theyd leave me anything!
In actual fact, Hats off to them if they actually get the money!!! |
