or rather about missold ppi from your bank (not other places) it's definitey worth filling them in....i got about 5 before mr.mari forced me to fill it out and post it....i got a letter today saying i was getting all of my money back

i didn't lie on the form at all, but they definitely did not tell me i would pay interest on the insurance payments meaning it was theoretically classed as a second loan (so according to them of the two loans i had, i have actually paid for 4!!!). i never understand this nonsense but knew they hadn't explained paying extra interest every month and apparently that was enough for a claim

ohh thats good to know, i have ppi what i didnt need at all but felt obliged and pressured into toaking it out...i wanna see of i can claim mine back, but not sure as it wasnt really missold...although i didnt realise you had to pay intrest on it

i didn't think mine was missold either gemz but one of the things they failed to tell people was about the interest which is the only reason i got mine back...

lisa its 4 figures, which is very handy!!! i didn't even realise i had paid that much it was only over 5 years and the loan was small but once they calculated the interest i had paid it came to loads - in fact about the amount we have lived on for this year

im just doing our ppi's we have had about 6 each in 6 years

all i had was the account number (this is from years ago) and my old address, couldn't remember even if i got it online or in person or anything but they obviously have it all on record.

Iv never had a loan, well apart from student loan which I havent even started paying back yet as not earning enough. The only debt iv ever had is CC's/store cards which I paid off and stopped using when pg with Caitlin, and my arranged interest free overdraft which I got out of this month for the 1st time in a year. Pretty sure none of the above had PPI.

Id love a wee lump sum but am grateful too im not in debt! x

nah they wouldn't snoops, im just glad cos i can finally pay my student account overdraft off and close it which is a big relief, and pay my last credit card off and close that too, so in a way it increases our monthly income which is dire atm

I agree, we have just got 6.5k back on a loan that OH took out with his ex (they both still pay it 50/50) and what they got back will pay off the loan with only 6 more payments each instead of 22

speak directly with your bank gemz, there are heaps of companies trying to get money through acting as agents but all of the money should go to you not pay commission...most banks are contacting people directly i think but i would ring and ask what they are doing about missold ppi policies

I have just had a phone call about mis-sold PPI, the woman didn't ask for anyone in paticular so I asked who it related to who and she told me she didn't have that info just that I had had a loan in the last ten years and was mis-sold ppi, I asked her how she knew I had had a loan and she didn't answer, I then asked who this loan was with and again she told me she didn't have that info, I then went on to ask how she had got this number (we have only been moved in a week) and she claimed to have got it from a database....what fecking database, we are ex-directory. In the end she put the phone down on me. Who are these people..are they genuine and how do they know I have had a loan is the past ten years?

It's got me thinking that maybe I should look into it as I did have a loan nearly ten years ago to buy a new car.

thats really odd, definitely sounds like a cold call, i would just get in touch directly with the bank you got your loan from?!

I am waiting for mine to come through been waiting for 10 weeks now.
