Hey Hun,

Have you been back to the dr about your back/leg yet. Also what painkillers are you on at the moment?

hay!

Im taking diclofenac and co-codamol 4 times a day, and then i have 2 amitriptyline which are sleeping tablets now..

i havent been back yet cos i had quite a few night shifts over the last week so have been avoiding 'the outside' to try and be less zombified. Have 8 days off now so im going to ring tomorow! I think i'm having problems with the diclofenac cos i've had reallybad tummy pain when i take it, tried not taking it for 2 days and the tummy pain went away so it must be them causing it!

I have a hot water bottle constantly attached to me at the moment which is helping a little! and my lovely oh has been massaging tiger balm into my back and leg everyday lol.

Thank you for asking! Its so awful and cos its 24/7 it really grinds you down doesnt it! How long did you suffer for?! x

Hiya,

I was on diclofenac and co-dydramol to start with and was also put on diazapam to help me 'relax' in the evening. Once these started to have no effect I was put on Tramadol and gabapentin along with the diclofenac and diazapam (it cost me a bloody fortune). Taking that cocktail of drugs was only way I could function and get through each day, gabapentin was a god send as it acted like a nerve block which meant I didn't permanently have sciatic pain.

My life was basically on hold for 15 months and in that time I don't think I lived I just existed, but it wasn't just my life it affected it was my oh's aswell, i've got to say it is one of the worse things I have ever been through..it was hell.

Diclofenac can cause problems with your stomach so maybe ask the dr if there is anything else you can take, and also ask if they can rush through your mri.

Hopefully you will get sorted a lot sooner than I did.

Take it easy

its costing me a fortune i really dont have, doc offered me some different ones but at the moment i havent got any spare money for a £23 prescription, it deffinately effects everybody around cos i am miserable, it hurts 24/7 and theres no resting time when you can feel human again is there?

i might see about that nerve block one cos i really cant carry on like this!
