Im not sure about that, when Stu does his finger prick tests he has to aim to be between 4 and 8.
Blood count looks at a number of things, red blood cells (which indicates anemia), white blood cells which can indicate an infection if too high, haemoglobin levels which show your bodys oxygen carrying capabilities and is found in your red blood cells & platelet count, platelets are to do with your bloods clotting ability - too high a count and you at risk of a blood clot & too low you more at risk of uncontrolled bleeding.
Iv looked up my blood results and at 11 weeks mine were -
HGB (haemoglobin)
12.5 (Normal range 11.5-16.5)
RBC (red blood count)
3.99 (Normal range 3.8-5.8 )
WBC (white blood count)
6.7 (Normal range 4-10)
PLT (platelets)
240 (Normal range 150-450)
Im sure if anything was wrong she would have mentioned it. My HGB was 11.1 a few weeks ago but im taking Iron supplements now. MW told me 10.2 was officially anaemic but anything below 11.3 they liked to get you on Iron to stop it decreasing further. Hope that helped and didnt just confuse you more lol!
