| so i know i've been going on about this money, but its so long since i had any i have a choice to make; i have figured out i could pay off the rest of my loan, pay off my student account and close it and pay off my credit card.....but this would leave us with nothing or i could just pay off the card, next, h+m and my student account and pay the rest of my loan monthly (12 months to go), and have a fair bit left to keep us going over christmas if mr.mari doesn't get straight into work after graduation... which would you do? |

| If you paid it all off now...how much would that reduce your monthly outgoings, as in how much to you pay each month on them? I think if that monthly amount was a nice amount I'd be tempted to pay it all off and have some each month more than before |

| the loan isn't massive interest, just over 7% and fixed repayments so it won't change......
lisa it would leave us an extra 200 a month (which if mr.mari doesn't go into work is going to be most of our income however we wouldn't have anything set aside)
hhhhhmmmmmmmmmm |

| When does he finish uni? Normally I'd say pay it all off and have the extra £200 a month...but if you think he wont get a job and that might leave you in a tricky situation..maybe keep some aside in case
Have you had the money yet, or have they promised it quite soon? Just that if/when Mr Mari doesn't manage to get a job (this is assuming he leaves uni very soon) - you could try getting a reduced figure on the loan..ring them up and say you are in a difficult financial position, but I have blah blah (offer like 80% of summert) to pay now if you will accept it...they might not but its worth a go! |

| he finishes on the 11th dec so he's fully qualified as of then, he has started applying for jobs now but there's a chance even if he started that week his bursary stops on the date he finishes so that's our last 'income' apart from ctc.. soooooooooo we wouldn't get any pay from him until the end of jan at the earliest, we do have emergency savings in my mothers savings account but other than that not a bloody penny i am thinking to err on the side of caution and maybe keep some back - i still have my job (still hate it but at least i have one!) and should be able to get quite a bit of work over christmas as nobody else wants to work........hmmmmmmmm! |

| nah i had asked before and they will only allow the full amount....i think i will probably just leave it, im so near the end of paying it off, if in 6 months we are both working i can request a balance and pay that last bit off much more easily : / |
