| I think I'm the only f1 fan here so almost certainly the only one who watches indycar but feel so sorry for his wife and kids. They're really young as well - 2 and 6 months. I made hubby turn off the race last night because the crash was just shocking and I said as soon as it happened someone would die and I didn't want to keep watching the replays although we did put it back on later.
I do sometimes think its a little selfish of them to keep driving when they've got young kids although I know that's silly because its actually fairly safe and probably all a lot of them know how to do |

| I saw it on twitter earlier. It's horrific, there is acutally footage from his car as it crashes I feel so sad for his wife and children. I know what you mean it seems unfair to risk your life in a job like that but then I guess if its generally safe its no worse that being a fireman or police officer. |

| Im an F1 fan but dont folow indycar though im assuming he's crashed and died which is terribly sad.
I dont think its selfish though, if these young guys have only ever driven and given their whole lives to their careers whats their options on retirement? A factory? I suppose in their heads they are doing the best they can do give their family a good life and at the end of the day accidents happen but ones like that are really rare
Poor family though must be terrible |

Poor family though must be terrible Yeah logically I agree with that and I wouldn't expect them to do anything else. It's just so sad when they leave such young kids behind |

| so sad, ive got a few friends who were good mates with him my dad was a racing driver from before i was born until a few years ago, he raced about 15 times a year and i always used to go watch, i loved it but i have many a time seen my dad in really bad crashes but luckly he has been ok, the worst one was when i was 7 i washed my dad get pancaked between 4 other cars in a mass pile up and it was terrifying, i still to this day remember it, the medics even said they cant believe how he survived but thank god he did!!! i dnt think its selfish as there are many jobs/hobbies out there which are hazzadous (sp) too. i really feel for his family though rip dan xx |
