| For freeview you still need an extra aerial. I know at my mums it plugs in on a lead from the wall to the freeview box. Does your bedroom have an outside aerial point in the wall? If not you can get stronger aerials that just plug into TV but im not sure what type exactly. I think aerials are aerials at the end of the day, you just need one strong enough to receive the signal if you dont have a wall connection. And that was prob bugger all use to you..... |

| Ok im clearly a total girl who has no clue about these matters! My mums is def just a lead plugged into wall.... oh shit hang on she has virgin!
Erm Im pretty sure even before that it was just a lead into original aerial point. Dont think the switch over has happened here yet so maybe thats why it worked at mums before.
I dont have a TV in my room partly for that reason, iv no idea how to hook one up so just watch things on my lappy if I feel like it! |

| You need a digital aerial. They are quite cheap. If you have sky you can connect it to that and get a magic eye so you can change the channel upstairs. We had our switchover over 18 months ago. |

| We have one of these in our kitchen (it's a basement kitchen so needs a good ariel) http://www.argos.co.uk/m/static/Product/partNumber/5352090/Trail/searchtext%3EARIELS.htm Then one of these in Oliver's room http://www.towsure.com/product/Truvision_Wideband_Caravan_or_Indoor_TV_Aerial The first is mains powered. They both work fine with our freeveiw without having to wiggle it about all the time |
