Well I'm fairly certain that Adam's not going to agree to going to Mexico for my 30th next April. However, he has agreed we can go away but I'm not sure where. Scotland and Cornwall were my first two thoughts but I think I've ruled Scotland out as its a long way to drive (from Essex) with a one year old and a grumpy husband (he hates traffic). I know Cornwall is as well but north Cornwall is less than 6 hours so not as bad. I'd like to be by the sea and don't really want Norfolk, Sufolk or Kent as they're places we're likely to go to a lot for the next few years. I suppose Dorset, Somerset and Devon are possibilities but I don't really know anywhere (my uncle lives in Cornwall so know I like it). I just wondered if anyone had any ideas. I do love Brighton but suspect we'll be in a caravan again as its cheap and easy with Jamie and I think most round there are a way from it

I go to wales, there is loads of places, just go on google maps and look at places along the coast i do love st ives tho my fav.

I just love Cornwall and can honestly say it's my most favourite place in the whole world. If your goi g to splash out check out The Headland Hotel in Newquay. For me it's heaven and I'm truly happy when I'm there (even if it pisses down I'm happy sitting looking at thevfantastic views) x

Well think I am going to go to Cornwall although we may look at Wales for another time. We've found a park in Helston that has an indoor pool and a soft play area with a ballpit so will be good for Jamie even if it rains. I'm happy as long as the sea's near me. It will be about £500 for two weeks so not too bad (or £450 if we go for a slightly smaller caravan) so hubby is going to see if he can get the time off and then we'll book it. We will be travelling back on my birthday but to be honest I'm not actually worried about birthdays - its just a good excuse for a holiday
