Yes Loans..... _
PostSubject: Yes Loans.....   Yes Loans..... EmptyTue Nov 01, 2011 8:05 am

For those who are not on my FB, I saw online that Yes Loans are in the process of being shut down by OFT Very Happy
I am not sure if anyone will get their money back.
I have worked for them before. When I was there for a year I was alright, I left for a job with more prospects. It wasn't until I left that I found out what goes on.
I went back to them this time in 2009 as we were struggling and really needed more money. I was there about a month before I got fired, this was as I was building the guts to up and leave.
I had to go home the one day as my IBS kicked off and I had left my tablets at home and this is why I got fired. Apparently IBS is not an 'approved' illness to them!
Flick was only young and I was missing her and I got upset - as you do. So when they told me I was fired I said I was fine with that and I started to cry- I felt like I had let Flick down. This then made them question is everything was OK at home and insinuated that I was in a violent relationship!
Anyway the point of this is keep an eye on the news for updates if you have gone to them xx

What do you mean get their money back? Like the money people paid to 'get' a loan? Or PPI?

I feel sorry for anyone that gets so desperate they have to apply for loans with companies like that - they change stupid interest that just makes my eyes pop out! I've only ever had proper bank loans and they charge enough, but its 58% APR Shocked

I hate those dodgy loan shark companies that sell themselves as decent loan companies. Some of them are charging over 1000% apr.

Their fee is £69 something.
If you change your mind and want your fee back they tell you to call customer service which is crap.
People are kept on hold for over an hour sometimes and nobody answers. But while they are on hold they are paying for the call. Not sure if Yes Loans gets that money or if it foes onto phone bill. Either way thats a lot of money.
I had people crying on the phone to me and I felt awful as there was nothing I could do.
Be aware on any sales call, they tend to say yes at the end of their sentence and in many cases they people just agree to whatever because of this yes.
Just beware ladies, I don't want any of you to get caught out x
This link explains about them shutting down x

Lisa, I meant that anyone who had paid the fee.
BTW I heard a call where someone said Yes had cleared out their bank account!
Not sure how much truth is in it ..........

Why do people call though, I just looked and there are exact instructions on how to get a refund - and it says send a letter?

Yeah that doesn't work.
If you send a letter make sure it is sent recorded so you know that they get the letter. Although most of the time they read and shred anyway.
I read that some people have gone to an ombudsman but I have no idea how to find one.
What drives me mad is that the 2nd time I applied and got the job they put me on cold calling when I applies for an admin job! Whatever you apply for there you will always end up cold calling. Damn...... I feel so guilty for ever being there

Thats really is awful - they must make enough from the interest alone so they are just greedy twats!¬

Not many people call its mostly from cold calling.
They abuse their staff verbally and it is just awful........ They really do prey on the weak and vulnerable.
I sound like a total biatch but I need to protect my Pandas. The owner died recently and his sons have taken over, I do not want to cause any offence in my next sentence but....
They are a bunch of money grabbing gingers who think the world revolved around them. They are loaded mind, thanks to all the people that pay the fee.
THEY SAY THEY NEED YOUR BANK DETAILS TO CONFIRM WHO YOU ARE. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BANK DETAILS NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY!
All they are after is the fee. The agent gets a bonus for every fee that is paid and with all the fees that are taken Yes are loaded!
Please please avoid them as they are known to take bank details and take money from your account. They will try and sweet talk you esp one agent who will NOT stick to the script and con you so badly x If anyone has a call from them just hangup. If you shout at them, there is chance your number will be passed on to another agent who will call you back and they will be taking the piss and trying to wind you up. If they call anyone lots PM me and I will let you know the name of the biggest liar you should look out for.
Also We Fight Any Claim is rum by the same company as Yes Loans xxxx
BTW LISA DOES THIS COUNT AS SLANDER??? DON'T WANT TO GET OM TROUBLE xxx

Cant see you getting in trouble unless you signed a 'compromise agreement' when you left?!

I had to for a company I left, so I cant say anything about them or their ways!

Hm i have to say this company sounds terrible!!! but I id take a loan out from a 'payday loan' company before, because I had a direct debit coming out my accouunt and tax creits had stuffed up and not paid on time, and the interest for the loan, although in was something like 800% APR, For the short time I needed it, the interest was less than the bank would have charged me for returned direct debit!
