| Rowan is driving us nuts, he keeps getting up during the night and getting in our bed to sleep. If one of us wakes up we put him back in his bed but we are not even noticing he's getting in until morning (i think because our bed is so big).
I've asked him why but get nothing so i dont think he understands.
What can i do? |

| Imogen does this. We tend to wake up tho as she likes to poke us to let us know she's there. It might just be a phase, Imogen used to do it a lot all through the night but now she just comes in about 6 or 7am and has another hr or so sleep with us. We have a rule with her that if its before 6 she goes back to bed if not she can stay with us.
Not sure what you can do if you're not noticing though. You could ask him to wake you if he gets in your bed but he probs won't do that..? |

| maybe he is doing it as a sort of delayed reaction to being a big brother? he wants to feel close to you or something like that. my advice would be just to let him but obviously that isn't going to suit everyone |

| lol Debs, our door don't lock. he can open stair gates and climb over them !! Don't really want him to attempt doing that in the pitch black.
He's been asking me to cuddle him a lot, which i don't get to do a lot (i miss this) H is starting to settle more maybe its his way of being close to me with out H |

| Arrh, does it bother you that his doing it?
I normally bring Noah in my bed about 5:30 and have a cuddle then.
I would suggest a stair gate you can get the ones that u have to clip and lift up. I got it in the asda baby event.

| Lol Mari you think I'm mean? My bedroom is of limits to the kids - it has a lock on the inside and outside of the door (I don't actually lock it at night because I have no need to but if Thomas did what Row is I would). The inside lock is for the odd occasion where one of us gets a lie in so the kids can't come and jump on our heads - or repeat the time Thomas poured a whole glass of squash in my eyes whilst I was sleeping soundly . The outside lock is on permanently throughout the day so they can't get in and trash it as they have full access to the rest of the house and no stair gates. Kelly, Thomas is exactly the same in the night but rather than sneaking into our bed he shouts me a lot - it HAS to be me and only me or he goes off on one. I'm thinking it's his way of having me all to himself, I think it's a jealousy thing. It is driving me nuts at the minute but I am making a conscious effort to spend quality time with him whilst Hannah naps now (he doesn't any more) as this is our only 1-1 time. I have also started letting him stay up 10 minutes later at night than Hannah and having an extra story 'because he is my big boy'. I have bought him a gro clock for his bedroom in a hope that he will know not to shout me until the sun comes up - will let you know how it goes as it might be an idea to say to Row that he can come into your bed when the sun comes up for a cuddle. xx |

| I think once H settles down at night earliest she goes down is 8:30 then once she's going down for 7, i'll have half hour with him and just him. every time i feed H he asks for a cuddle, i think he's missing me. ar i feel really bad now.
Debs if he wakes up he asks for me and goes nuts if trev goes in |

| I use a dressing gown tie cord to tie her door to my bed post Think I only had to do it one night and she didn't bother trying to get in my bed again - although she did wake me a few mights cos she'd 'lost' her nunu and torch! Wish I'd tied it shut those nights! They are quick to learn and you only need to stop them getting out of the room once or twice before they don't bother any more I dont think it's mean at all - its teaching them what they need to learn - they sleep in their bed! |

| I agree with the others. Admittedly Jamie still very occasionally comes into our bed but once he goes. into his own room I plan to put a stair gate on the door and he'll only be allowed in in the mornings or if his ill |

| We don't have this problem as Ellie doesn't wake and is still in her cot, but our house is old with original doors and the handles are really high up so it'll be years before she can reach!
I'd deffo lock my door though x |

Rowan scared the crap out of me at 10:20pm (I was soundo so was Trev) he was doing something to my face i'm not sure what but it shocked the life out of me. took him back to bed. went back to sleep
He was back again at midnight, put him back, 2am he was back then again at 6:30 this morning.
he kept saying this morning he dont like his new bed.
he never woke up so much so he's waking for some reason i just dont know what |

| i find danielle is waking more recently as she is cold , she kicks blankets off and has been known to remove clothes , she has refused from day one to use a sleeping bag, im awful though as i then take her into my bed to warm up and we both fall asleep
does he have a little night light ? might be waking up and getting scared of the dark ? |
