| In work yesterday my lovely colleague was sat cutting out postage stamps. I asked if she saving them for a charity and she said no they are to post my Christmas cards!!!!!!! She said if they haven't been franked then she always reuses them! I was totally shocked as I've never done this - habve you? With the risk of getting locked in the tower of London I am going to do this from now on as I do spend a fortune on stamps What do you think? |

| This has NEVER crossed my mind ... and tbh for the sake of the cost of a stamp I can think of things I'd rather spend my time doing |

| You can actually buy on ebay i think, job lots of stamps, for pretty cheap, that have been 'professionally' removed from letters and things. |

Cos obviously Royal Mail have to pay their staff, people moan they don't get a good service, but yet there are people happy to rip off Royal Mail by re using stamps... |

Lisa, when my colleague explained to me what she was doing I was horrified and told her it was wrong. But when I went home and told my usually very law abiding do gooder oh he said if royal mail can't get their act together and ensure that stamps are franked then it's tough. Also it wouldn't be difficult for royal mail to produce a system that made sure stamps couldn't be re used I don't actually receive many letters with proper stamps on but if I do ands it's possible I will cut it out. But I do feel bad now as we've had the same postman for over a year and he's really nice. |

Royal Mail are a business and need to makes profits, they are making cutbacks as it is and the postmen/women and their families are the ones that are suffering (like my husband and us!) On a lighter note, we've never had to buy stamps as Simon gets them as a christmas 'bonus' every year |

| Surely a company such as royal mail have the intelligence to stop this. Dont they???? I read in the paper last week that 2nd class and 1st class mail were delivered in the same timescale, so I see that as a bit of a con. Also when I think of the items that have been lost it adds up to a fair bit! Like I said I've never done this..... Yet! |

| Kayleigh, I think he gets about 50 1st class stamps, we've got stamps that are 3 or maybe even 4 years old Babymilly, they used to mark the stamps therefore making them useless and I agree they should still do it to stop people reusing them. With regard to 1st/2nd class, 1st class does get priority with how its dealt with, I also agree that post shouldnt get lost but it is a teeny percentage compared to the volume of items they deal with. |

| i dont actually think its that bad, on the rare occasion if you are able to reuse a stamp and need a stamp at that moment....go for it i do draw the line at buying them off ebay though, thats taking it to another level! |
