| soooooooo at nearly 18 months elijah's left eye is still squinty - we were told when he was little that he would probably grow out of if. it isn't a lazy eye as the eyelid works normally and the eye also moves normally (appears to!), its just when he is looking straight forward the left eye seems to be pointing more toward his nose
he seems to see fine as well, and can spot a birdie or TTTTTRUUUUCKKKKKKKKK from a bazillion miles away, but still i think by 18 months it should have at least started to correct itself?
im not sure who to contact, our hv is a total arse but i do want someone to have a look at it.....any ideas? |

| Stephen has got a bit of a squint and I asked the health visitor to refer him to an eye specialist. He had an appointment in August where they said there is a squint but loads of babies have them and grow out of them but we've got a follow up appointment in December to see if it's improving because you can still see it. You could always try asking gp to refer you if you don't want to speak to hv but they don't need to do much except send your details off for an appointment xx |

| mr.mari asked the hv the the practice he is on placement with and she says i could ask for a referral over the phone (from hv) at opthalmology? will give that a go, nobody is answering just now (oooooooooooh surprise ) it isn't getting worse, but they were going to check it again at his 8month/12month checkups but this health visitor 'doesn't do them' apparently! i will try ringing again then cos stephen and eli are pretty much the same age thanks x |

| hmm, see elijah's does seem to be a bit better, he has had it since he was born and even in photos it does seem to be improving a bit? got doctors tomorrow will see what they say (this is the doctor that told me elijah was falling over all the time cos he had been in a caravan the week before......erm no it was cos he was poorly)
me and mr.mari both have really good eyesight, but looking at pictures i do look really quite squinty as a toddler too, maybe it is our eye shape |
