| dunno really... I have LCD, my mum just got a new plasma, and it has a great sharp picture... can't see why any one would need anything better/different to plasma .. ? What extra does LED do? |

| I know I know! LOL..had an indepth education on this topic when we went shopping for our tv. Plasma is gorgeous..HD is amazing..but..and its a big but for those who game or pause movies on screen quite a bit. Plasma's have been known to burn images on the screen, which never go away..will always leave a perma image behind, regardless of the manufacturer. LED/LCD's quality isn't as "crisp" as the plasma..but is ideal as they do last longer..and are made for gaming(xbox,PS3,wii). Hope that helps. x |

| oo thanks guys!
we have seen a plasma we like and its alot cheaper than a ldc n led.. perry plays xbox but he doesnt pause alot so im guessing that is okay? i think the only thing we would have to watch if we got this telly is when cbbies finish you get the red screen on n some times we are sat in the kitchen with the tv on that so would have to watch that i guess! |

| well thats what i thought, that plasma burnt out, and me and my dad tried to convince my mum that was the case, anyway she went and asked some TV dude, bearing in mind the plasma was cheaper so the sales guy wasn't trying it on, and also she said she wasnt buying from him haha ... anyway he said that that used to be the case with plasmas but apparently these days its no longer the case! its always hard to move on from 'what used to be' ...like Skodas but things do improve so yeh although I am sceptical im sure these days they are fine! |

| We have plasma. It gives out alot of heat, bit like a lil radiator in the room lol.
Picture quality is great, but like already said it has a tendency to burn images on to screen. Stuart cracks up sometimes if I forget to change channel when cbeebies goes off air as sometimes for a while after you can see the 'off air' page faintly on the screen. Thankfully iv never left it so long its burnt permanently and it has faded after an hr or so.
Also not sure if LCD is the same but with plasma you have to be so careful with polish/air freshner. Ours has a few water spots on it were spray has landed on it and marked the screen. |

| We recently got a new TV (only because lily carved a picture with a biro into the screen of our old one) and its a samsung LED Smart 3d one. It is a great picture, Dan pays for sky HD and although i personally said it was a waste of money I have to say that I can see the difference in the picture quality.
The 3d is very good but we only really use it for films, the smart tv is good though as it connects to the wi fi so you can download films and watch iplayer etc |

| My mum and dads is 3d too...so they got Avatar out on 3d and sat there watching it with their specs on...and wondered why on earth it didn't seem 3d! Then found out they needed a blueray player not just their DVD player So now they have a blueray player .. makes me laugh to think of my parents sat watching a film with 3d specs on |
