| Ohh fabby!!!!
What do you mean they are going to induce you though, if you've already started to dilate they don't need to do they - I went for induction and had started to dilate so just had waters broken |

| OMG! Good luck! Im sure you will be fine, it wont hurt a bit They really do poke about with things in Cyprus dont they. I have my 36 wk app on wed, then a 38 wk app (all they do is BP, urine and quick feel of tummy) they wouldnt have a clue if I was dilaiting. Then my next app isnt until 41 wks when i'l be 8 days over!!!! Im turning up at 40+1 and playing dumb, no fecking way im waiting that long for a sweep or induction date. In ways im jealous they get things going so quick over there for you... but at same time I dont think I could cope with a baby in 2 weeks time so maybe its better letting nature decided for me. I cant believe how long they keep you in in Cyprus, here we with 2nd's most dont even stay one night! Get packing/cleaning/sorting etc. All the effort may even set things off naturally! Argh im actually so excited!!! you have to be honest with me and tell me how hard the 1st few weeks are - no lying! I want the unedited version of being a mum of 2!!! |

| Lisa they bring you in and pop you on the drip here if your already dilating - with Tyler they wouldn't break my waters until I was having really good strong contractions. I'm not sure why they do it that way I suppose they must think it's better for me to be dilating with waters still in tact than have them broken and maybe take another 24 hours + to get to 10cm... I dunno! I was in so much shock though - after he examined me I went off to get dressed again and came back with a bit of paper and he said so what time on Wednesday I was like errr what time for what what's going on he was like to be induced ARGH! Snoopy I sort of didn't want to be induced this time because I'm gonna miss the little bumpy (well big bumpy) and don't want to share him... and I feel bad for Tyler like extreeeeeemly guilty that he's going to have me taken away from him for a few days and all I'm goign to be able to give him back is a screaming new born baby pmsl. It's 3 nights hospital stay if you have a natural birth, 4 if you have a c section. thats just how it goes but he said I could probably stay for 2 nights assuming the pediatrician let's the baby go (and it's actually the babies they worry more about then the mums) and as you have a pediatrician attend the delivery that pediatrician is then personally responsible for the welfare of the baby so if they say I can go home after 2 nights and something terrible happens it's their reputation on the line so that's why they're so strict. But I'm hoping to do some bargaining with her - Im gonna ask her to do home visits as my house is on the way to her surgery like 2 mins down the road and on the main road so its actually easier for her to come to my house to see the baby than it is for her to go to the hospital. eeeeeek I should be doing things but I feel sick and I'm on here lol. Must remember my phone charge think I'll be needing it |

| Funny how they do things so differently isn't it!
As far as I know the drip is the last resort here in the UK!! |

| i was gelled up in the morning and i think the late afternoon then the following morning when i arrived at hospital they checked and i was dilated 1 or 2 cms so they broke my waters there and then then put me straight to delivery and straight onto drip , i think that was because she crapped in me but i just thought they minute they broke your waters they put you on drip x |

| see I don't know if they bother with the gels over here... my friend got to 40 weeks and as nothing was happening they gave her a c section. so they didn't try to get things going naturally... very odd but I kinda like the security that comes with knowing what's going on lol. |
