| I love school nativity, it's so cute Charlotte was one of many angels and paul was always one of many shepherds, I've really got my hopes up high that Ellie will be Mary xxx |

| Eh? I think thats a little odd tbh. Aimee's nursery isnt doing a play (too young, lol), but all year around they try to ensure they cover as many days in whatever culture or belief for the children. Personally, if you dont want to celebrate Christmas, then you dont have to, but its a massive shame to prevent the other 99% of the country from doing it because of a minority who think its their right to stop something that has been done in this country for hundreds of years. If you dont like our way or doing it... feck off! Rant over! x |

| Thats such a shame! I was always a star or an angel. My sister was mary once but she was the only girl in her year. SO it was inevitable |

| C's preschool havent said owt but they are probs a little young yet tbh.
I do find it sad though this marginalisation of christianity. If any other religion had been bastardised to this extent there would be uproar. At the end of the day its CHRISTmas. If you choose to celebrate it in a non secular way thats totally fine as far as I am concerned as I do think its become a time to celebrate family a much as the birth of jesus but at the end of the day christmas is still a religious observation and should be able to be celebrated with displays such as nativity in the same way Diwali is celebrated with the lights. Otherwise why dont we just do away with all festivals and celebrations.
Sorry pet peeve of mine there |

| In our school each class in the infants do their own play, year 2 do the nativity, which is me this year. The juniors do their own show. The kids love it. As a parent I love watching it too. |

Sorry pet peeve of mine there Pet peeve of mine as well although my school have a carol service at the cathedral (secondary so too old for nativity). The whole winterville thing winds me up. I don't stop people from other religions celebrating their festivals and expect to be able to celebrate mine. We are officially a Christian country |

| This really bothers me..the whole darn holiday event is b/c it's Jesus' birthday! I hate how Christmas is being dismantled and turned into some ridiculous dog and pony show because it "offends" some foreign ppl. Piss off..move out..and leave our holidays alone. BTW..they are even going after the secular Christmas trees! Some "gooney goo goo"..complained at the Vancouver Airport display..and they have taken them down! Religious..or non religious..our rights to our holidays are all at the mercy of a few and are being picked off, one by one. x |
