Do you find yourself doing less when its cold?!

I feel bad that she watches more telly, but there isn't as much to do when it's cold, and she doesn't play with her toys all day...and she asks to watch things, yesterday she sat and watched pretty much all of Monsters Inc, and she just asked to watch Bagpuss..and is on the 3rd episode!

Yep absolutely, we are currently half way through Monsters stink for the 4th time in 4 days Rolling Eyes.

We are going to play outside when Hannah wakes up because its a dry cold day but we don't if its been wet (which is a lot of the time in winter) because our back garden gets all boggy. Tbh though when its cold and they have to be all wrapped up they get bored quickly of playing outside, I think they feel a bit restricted, they are much happier semi naked running around trashing the house.

Thomas watches more tv at the mo because he has started to ask for certain things on but Hannah still isn't all that interested so she tends to play with her dolls etc. We are having a lot of 'indoor' days at the mo because for the last 3 weeks at least one of us has been ill at any one time, starting to go a bit stir crazy now Brrrrrrrrrrr 548646

It's still quite warm here, not even really coat weather yet. We went swimming this morning then for a mcdonalds after. Chloe isn't bothered by the cold, she's much happier out and about so I just wrap her up warm when needed. Its when it's raining that we don't do much. It's not so bad for me though because I only have her all day on Tuesday's and at weekends so it's easier to plan things x

Yeh Izzy still does her swimming couple of times a week, but its pretty cold here now, and wet so often that the grass never dries, our garden is very mossy and when never dries out, so its ok if she is booted and waterproofed but a pain otherwise!

She got fed up of Bagpuss, did some chalking for a bit then decided she wanted to watch Wallace & Gromit

i have been really rubbish at going out this week, mostly the garden rather than big plays in the park. we have loads of wellies, all in one rainsuits, waterproof trousers though and ordinarily i cannot STAND being indoors (in fact haven't been indoors all day since elijah and me were trapped inside cos of the snow last year)

i am sticking to my 'no tv til mummy is cooking tea/after tea' rule so far...just stick loads of clothes on him and take spare socks/trousers and off we go Laughing

oh yeah, and swimming is a good one for being indoors Smile

We still go out every day, and we have dogs, so no getting away from that - I just mean there is less to do in winter , things like picnics, boat trips, just general stuff isn't always open or as nice to do when its cold
