| to think about becoming a mummy for the 1st time. I know 36 is a few years off for me but realistically with the ivf waiting list if we get lucky 1st time I am going to be approaching 36 before I have my 1st baby.
I'm worried I've left it too late and will have nothing in common with 1st time young yummy mummies |

| Hey you crazy lady! 36 is a lovely age to start a family. Don't forget I was 41 when I had Ellie and I don't feel out of place at play group at all, it's getting quite common to be an older mummy and there are loads of benefits to being an older mummy just like there are benefits to being a young yummy mummy! |

| not at all, I was 36 when I had Ava and it makes no difference. Tbh there's more older mummies at my baby groups than younger ones. x |

| Actually that's a good point. My sister was 18 when she had her first but most of her mummy friends and the same age or a little younger than my Mum (50 next week) as they had their babies in their early 40s (her son is 9 now) |

| LOL! You know my answer! You are as only as old as you feel! Some days I feel 80..and some days I feel 20...age is just a number! Kids..btw..can either add years..or make you digress back into a child. Most ppl now days seem to start their families a lot later in life..so hun..36 is the new 26! x |

| HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLL NO!!!!!
Age is a state of mind. I'm 26 but I feel and act much older. So most women my age I don't really click with or they are just to immature for me.
You have not left it too late no way what so ever |

| Nope not a bit. My friend had her son at 18 and went on to study social work and now law. She is 25 now, single and if her life plan works out she intends to do masters in law, apply to be a barrister, and get a cpl years experience before having anymore kids. Oh and she needs to meet a man & marry him lol as she wants to be settled.
If her plan all works out she will be 34/35 by the time she has more kids (her son will be 16!). She would love to have 3-4 more but it depends how everything works out. Having kids in her late 30's is her aim! |

| Deffinitely not. The way I've found it at baby groups I've been to is there tends me be a lot of younger mums (16-22ish) and then there's a lot of older mums (30-40) and not a lot inbetween, it's weird. I guess its the difference between having a baby straight away before career/buying house that type of thing or settling in a career/house/marriage then having a baby.
My Aunty had a baby at 42 and made friends with lots of other Mums around the same age. |

| I hope not lol
I had rich when I was 23 and 35 when I had Lucas and will be 36 when this bundle of joy arrives. Being a mom at any age brings its issues, but must admit the only time I get looks is when I have rich with me, I don't get any when we got rich and nieces with me though lol.
I'd say my health isn't as good as when I had rich but that's me nowt to do with age.
Just enjoy ttc don't think about it too much and have faith, it took us2 and half years to have Lucas, it took 3 months for this one and 30 seconds with rich and all of them were conceived when I was relaxed and enjoying my hubby, probably tmi but enjoy xx |

| Thanks Ladies for all your comments, guess i'm just feeling my age at the moment and maybe wishing we had of started trying earlier. Obviously we couldn't forsee what was ahead of us regarding ttc, i am trying to believe that everything happens for a reason.
Maybe the delay with ttc and the slightly longer than anticipated waiting list means we can hopefully go an spend a year in the US, which we really want to do after our 3 months.
I really do appreciate every word of advice and the time you guys spend replying to my posts it means alot |

| Aw dont fret on it D. I think people are either having kids young then putting their careers in place later or doing job first then kids now a days. I did my nurse training and got secure in a job first so was 29/31 and id have had another at about 33 if i wasnt so crud at preg. I think what you may lack in energy you make up for in other ways |
