are they reliable, cheap parts, low insurence ect??? just want to make sure im getting the right car befor i rush into anything,,,ps will only be about an 03-04 plate x

We had a 52 plate auto diesel......the size, layout, boot, seating position etc were fab!! But we bought a 'dog of a car' as quoted by our mechanic and its auto box was simply unfixable.......3 mechanics and lots of money later just couldnt diagnose the problem!! We part exed it just to get rid, but I would imagine if you got a good one it would be great!!

I believe the petrol ones are 'very thirsty', so if you could get a manual diesel one that had a good warranty, or checked by a mechanic, then go for it!! xxx

I'll be interested in this thread, its what I have been looking at to replace my Megane which is kinda on its last legs (well its not at all, there isn't much wrong with it once I get the wheel bearing fixed, but I want a new car!)

No Kelly, I've got a Citroen Picasso, and a renault clio

Renault are fairly expensive for parts, have a look on the Which guides, they're ususally quite good on their reviews

mandy i was also considering the citroen picasso or a vaxhaull zafira, so would like to get as much info as i can on all of them...am also viewing a skoda fabia tomorrow lol

I love my picasso, it's got a massive boot and loads of passenger room and it feels like driving a normal car, but there are some negatives, it's quite heavy on the steering and is high on petrol consumption. I drive the 1.8 petrol version and it's not very economical, but they are cheaper to buy then the Zafira's

My sister has a Zafira which I've driven a fair bit, they are more expensive to buy, but cheaper to repair, if you have all 7 seats up then there is very little boot space, but they are really nice to drive

we have had both a scenic and at the mo we have a picasso.
we love the picasso and would never have any other car

def go for the picasso, but a diesel because the petrols are greedy x
