So much for being tripled washed and ready to eat! I don't think I will ever buy a bagged salad again!!!

I found a stag beetle in my bag of salad once, after we'd eaten half of it!! Guess what Florettes compo was? Found a small slug in some Sainsburys veg once and they gave me £80 worth of nectar points.

I know its not nice when there are bugs on salad etc ... but seriously there is no way they can find every little critter that is on salad outside - so I never know why people are so up in arms that there was a bug on a leaf It nature .. unless you want them to grow you food in a sterile glass house in polystyrene cups

i always wash leaves again and have a rummage through - the ones from our garden always have loads of beasties on them so its worth giving them a rinse....its not THAT much effort!

True Lisa! I think if we all knew just how many bugs were in a jar of jam..we'd never touch it again. or how many spiders we swallow in our sleep a year...but..how in the world..do you miss a bird! LOL! Quality control needs a big ass slap!
