Had my consultant appt today, she found the heartbeat straight away and has put my dates by my lmp rather than my scan which is confusing? It was the same consultant I had last time which is good.
Went through my file from Chloe which was enormous, when she looked at it she asked if they were all mine, lol. It turns out that I had a large blood vessel in front of the uterus which when they came to stitch up made it difficult and I lost 3 times as much blood as a normal woman having a section and they had to put extra stiitching in. She said the risk that it happens again is only really if I have another section, so will definitely get to try naturally unless this one is breech too. She said they will have to monitor me throughout labour though so can't have a water birth, and that they will give me something after to make my uterus contract down quicker which reduces the risk of excessive bleeding. Also said they won't induce me as it increases risk of rupture and ending up with a section so they're going to sweep me at 40 weeks and as soon as my cervix softens break my waters.
So I'm glad it's going to be naturally as I was very worried about having another section. Let's just hope this baby behaves and is head down and comes on my due date!
