So oh and me are having a last minute wedding on Xmas eve. It's very small as we don't have a lot of cash. Anyways he booked an eyebrow wax for us both and manicure for me today with one of his friends who has a massive waiting list and it was the only day she could do. Anyways we asked toleave the kids with my folks for an hour as they'd be awful in the car and the beauty place is in the middle of nowhere. We honestly thought we would only be an hour and I've never had a manicure before. Anyway my folks were due to go and see my gran who lives an hour away. Her birthday was Friday and they were taking her out fir a meal. Bar in mind she barely bothered with us growing up. Anyway the manicure took ages and we were an hour late and my mum was so horrible about it. We apologized and said we hadn't any idea it would take so long. She basically told me I shouldn't have had it done or found someone else to look after the girls. We have moved here and don't know anyone. I apologized but she was a real cow about it and it's my dads mum. I only wanted to look nice for the wedding. It's now made me feel really terribly and really tearful. Sorry for the ramble I just feel really down.

dont feel bad hun its not your fault it took longer than u thought, i would have no idea how long it would take,
i wouldnt have thought it would have took any longer than an hour, its not like you did it on purpose x

Don't be upset, it's the way lots of our mums are. Because you're her daughter they just say it as it (and a bit more too if they're having a bad day). Next time you speak to her it will be all forgotten about.

Aww Hun, she probably took it out on you because her mil, might have not been impressed and took it out on her.

That's what my mil does and me and russ always argue on the way to see her
