the post-birth shower is insane isn't it? Talk about surreal, it looked like a scene from psycho. The lady chucked all my stuff in the room for me, clipped an alarm to the curtain and ran off cos someone was having an emergency section, I remember sitting there and just thinking 'oh f*ck' hahaha sorry, I won't fill your head with scary thoughts! |

| I was my sisters birthing partner with her son and should have been there with her daughter, but was 10 minutes late in getting to the hospital. I helped her when she was getting showered as her husband had a D+V bug and it was awful. I think im dreading the post labour shower more than the labour xx |

oh no! It wasn't meant to be scary haha I wasn't in pain at all, or even scared it was just very very weird...I remember saying to myself (out loud haha) 'well, you're a mummy now so you better get on with it', and then having a little sit down....It just didn't seem real at all |

x I couldn't even have a shower, I got undressed, stood up and thought 'oh shit, I'm going to collapse' so I rang the alarm and the next thing I knew I was in a wheelchair being wheeled back into the labour room, naked but with a gown draped over me Simon thought I was nearly dead because of the colour of me Ended up having a wash in the bed by a nurse - not a pleasant experience |

| Im not even thinking about packing a bag yet - im way too relaxed for my own liking at the min, but im literally taking my pjs, change of clothes, obv baby bits and some bits for me to have a wash with after. I have requested I dont stay in this time so they are putting me on 6hr discharge. So I can pack all that once I feel things 'starting' If I do need to stay in hubby can go back and sort all that jazz as I wont give two hoots as I will just be all sad about being stuck in crappy hosp I rem shower I actually had the quickest shower I can rem, we were left to it as an emergency section was being done, hubby was holding onto Hannah (and wasnt letting go) so i hobbled over to shower rem seeing all blood and thinking ewww, then just had a quick wash and jumped out I wasnt messing about as think if I thought about it too much I would of spazzed out mw came back and she was like ooooh youve washed yourself already???? and I was like o sorry yeah xx |
