How the hell do you get a baby in a routine when you have a toddler to look after? I'm just trying to get finlay into bath bottle bed routine but there is just no time to do it... He will have a feed between 5 and 8 so that would be when his bath is but that's dinner time and tyler's bath and bed time...i need more hours!
Any tips?

Could you bath them together? And get them both ready for bed together. Try doing whilst dinner is on or have dinner earlier or later and leave an hour free for sorting the boys?

I've never had to look after two babies so I'm just throwing suggestions, sorry if they're no no good. X

If im honest hun you cant lol well I couldnt haha

a 2nd and im sure its the same with more you have. They have to fall in to your routine. I use to bath them the same time, then bottle of Hollie, read a story for lillie on the sofa the same time (Lillie did use to fall alseep on the sofa then Id lift her into bed.) then put hollie down.

but I can honestly say I didnt and still dont really have a routine with Hollie xxx (gets easier the older they get!! well sort of then you have the problem of them both running around the house naked after a bath and refusing to get changed!!! ahhhhhhhh) xxx

I always struggle with this and Noah ends up going to bed quite late which isn't helping his sleeping.. Sad

At the moment Milo has a bath with my OH while I cook dinner, we have dinner then Noah has a feed, I take Milo up and get him ready for bed, brush teeth, story, hug, sleep (Noah chills out in his cot while we're doing this) then take Noah downstairs for his bath, feed then pop him into bed when he's asleep. Milo goes to sleep about 7:30, Noah about 8:30 which is later than I want but I don't know how to organise any earlier. He wakes up every hour or so at the moment anyway so he ends up being up most of the evening anyway Sad

Can't bath them together as our bathroom is horrible atm, can't bath Noah down here when Milo is still up as he tries to climb in the baby bath with him- not really a relaxing experience for Noah! Laughing

So basically I'm as stuck as you are! The only thing that helped a bit was moving dinner time earlier to 5pm so I had more time to get everything done after. still not enough though! Good luck, if you do find a solution, let me know!

Our routine has been the same for months but tbh hun its really early so I wouldnt worry to much just yet.

We all have dinner at around 5ish, after dinner they both bath together (they have since Dexter was a few weeks old), then chill in the lounge til the bedtime story in Libby's bedroom at 630. After story I take Dexter back in the lounge for his last feed and then hes down til the morning.

It will just work out though, I didnt think I would ever get into a routine but it kind of just happened. xx

It's like being in the army in our house. We have tea bout half 5 then bath time is usually 6.30. I put Eoin in the bath first and get him washed, then the others get in and out 1 at a time. Like a conveyor belt. Eoin gets out last. The kids come downstairs and watch a bit of tv with a cup of milk, Eoin and Siobhan go to bed at 7.30 and I put the older kids a programme they want to watch. All are in bed by 8.30. Then I am ready for bed too!!
I always just used the big bath when they were small with a bath rest thingy.
