| I think this is my FAV ever panini .. it costs £6.40 at the local cafe but OMG worth it!
So this xmas Im going to make my own to use up the turkey
Turkey, Bacon (thick cut, non smoked, no rind and not crispy!), Mozzarella (non of that skinny crap!) and cranberry sauce...in a panini
Anyone got any other ideas for Christmassy lunches, drinks etc?

Char ??what is that? I know that you can buy a tiger loaf in Asda but surely you need a filling such as turkey or smoked salmon |

| Ooooo gingerbread. Loves it Mari - good work. We do a batch ever year... ish. Home made is much nicer isn't it? I do my own non-boozy trifle - I hate the texture of the soggy trifle sponges so I get the 'ladies finger' ones and just put them on top, still crunchy. The trifle itself involves jelly, chopped up mini chocolate rolls, nice chopped up fruit (um grapes, pineapple, nectarines- what ever is to hand) oh crap just remembered I need a tub of custard (can't be naffed making my own, can I?) then squirty cream and plenty chopped up cadbury flakes on top. It's more of a sweet mush than a trifle Ive done a roulade before too, simple sheet of mirangue (sp) with some cooked-up frozen red fruits (with some sugar / honey to sweeten and thicken -- cinnamon to make christmassey!) - all rolled up and more squirty cream to serve. |
