What?!?!?! you're mental woman!! lol I do sometimes wonder if I'm missing a part of my brain coz only time I've ever been actually 'broody' is when I've been pregnant (which I suppose was a good thing ) and even then I don't think I felt it as strongly as some of you ladies seem to - I'm emotionally stunted xx

I am actually giggling my arse off at that. I know its as well I cant act on it cos lets face it-me being pg again would not be such a good thing (jo and suse might actually kill me) but its the fact I CANT act on it rather than wont act on it thats bugging me atm. All now feels v final...which is good...i guess

Yeah lol. My reasons are really sound-Neils 40 this year coming, we are dead skint and my body hates being pregnant with a passion and 2 lots of pre ec and emergency sections are quite enough........but still......

Well in theory you could have it reversed but you know you had it done for good reasons. Not that it helps the feeling

No I dont think Neil would let me getit reversed even if i let it go that far anyway and I wouldnt go down that road so just keep slapping me til it wears off. Maybe a kitten...

Kittens are good. You don't have to get up in the night with them like babies

Me too! I totally feel like I missed out on the newborn stage when Amelia came home although she was tiny she was holding her head up, nosing around and completely hated cuddles. It doesnt help that I could actually get pregnant. I asked the doctor about sterilisation and she wouldnt refer me as Im only 21. Nevermind the fact that another pregnancy would probably kill me and the baby. But thats a whole other rant

see its not the newborn thing for me as i kinda find newborns boring if Im totally honest. Sorry to all with newborns. Its more i think cos Awens mostly over her mis reflux stage now and is at my fave stage where Shes got her lovely personality coming but is still little enough that Im the centre of her universe and i know soon it will wear off as she becomes a toddler and will really miss that being needed so much. Or something. But yeah while Im nowhere near as poorly as you during pg it puts me and bubs at risk esp as nobody listens! And i Couldnt do reflux again! Def a kitten i think though i doubt Neil would let me have that either...maybe i could give him the options. Its rubbish they wont sterilise you though in spite of your history. Could you not speak with your consultant?

| That's awful Kayleigh. I could understand as a general rule refusing to sterilise but after everything you've been through its different.
I can totally understand where you're coming from on the newborn thing. They are a bit boring. I'm not sure my mr independent has ever needed me either except at silly times in the morning.
If you want to be the centre of someone's world then I'm not sure a cat is the way forward |

Hahaha I can just imagine you sitting him donw and saying. Neil were either having anohter baby or a kitten, its entirely your choice but Im having one of them lol. I wonder how hed react I think its the knowing they are your last so with everything they do you know you wont get to see it for the first time again. I have a solution. We just need to stop time!. Ah haa! Ive cracked it, super duper genius I am! Lol Im not even sure who my consultant is tbh. I saw one twice when pregnant with moo but then I ended up having her at the other hospital because it was closest and Ive never heard from them since. Probably best for me not to see him though as I asked for my thrombophilia bloods repeated after I had moo and after he spent a good hour explaining to me why I didnt need injections and stuff it turns out only 3 out of the 14 ever came back.

If You want a kitten you need to 'find' one You see I would quite like a mini schnauzer puppy but oh says no. So when I'm ready I'm going to get one and bring it home and say I found it running around in the middle of the road. He would really fall for that as he's really quite kind.

I think Thats def a factor too kayleigh. Lol at talking to Neil i could just see his face but liberty has a point. For affection cats not so good as fun as kittens are. Have been considering the need to freeze time myself. Would def be the way forward with Awen but would need c twelve months back or forward as freezing time during the why phase is a bad idea

You might be suprised Lise tbh, Thomas was always independent from day one and never really liked too many cuddles from the minute he was born he was happy in his own space. Miss H on the other hand is a different kettle of fish - I keep waiting for her to stop 'needing' me but she is so so so loving and I honestly don't see a day where I'm not the centre of her universe - she's just that sort of kid, would sit on my knee cuddling forever if she could and even when she's playing alone will 'check in' with me every few minutes You might get the same with A so don't worry too much about her not needing you any more. I often think how lovely it would be to freeze time and keep them at the ages they are now. I've probably thought it at least once a day since Hannah was around 4 months old (also not a newborn fan here) but then everyday they do something new that amazes me, makes me smile and melts my heart so if time were frozen I wouldn't see those new things everyday. They will continue to grow in your heart for many many years and although the 'firsts' will get fewer and further between, they will get bigger and better as time goes on so always something to look forward to. They will always be our babies no matter how big they get and will always need us in one way or another whether they want to admit it or not I actually think that I missed out a bit with Thomas whilst I was pregnant with Hannah as I'm just not good at being pg, it makes me miserable and a completely different person. It's only actually the last few months that I feel fully back to my old self and feel I'm REALLY enjoying my kids now so the thought of another pregnancy would really make me sad not happy. I feel our little family is complete and we can plan for our futures without the chance of another pg hanging over us or another baby changing the dynamic or putting restrictions on our time. There's actually a lot to be said for sterilisation/vasectomy, it does feel very final but hopefully, like me, you will soon learn to embrace that and see it as a good thing Kayleigh that's really rubbish that they wont refer you hun, surely with your history they should be a little more compassionate towards your needs xx
