| How are your LOs getting on?
C ADORES hers. She likes the free pet app and ive taught her to feed and bath it and shes gotten the hang on the flingo game and sits playing it for ages. She also likes reading her ebook and the video i downloaded. In total shes got the free pet pals, art studio and story maker and music video, alphabet stew (was free) 2 e books (1 was free) and 2 sets of flashcards.
Shes not touched her flashcards yet and will only use art studio or story maker if im doing it with bher which means she has to be in the right mood as generally she wants to sit quietly with it on her own.
Am now trying to decide what to put on it next. contemplating buying her the full pet pals game or another video and ebook as shes not so bothered by games as such atm. Any other reccomendations? |

| Ellie loves it. We thought it was maybe a bit old for her but no, she plays with constantly. Her favourite is art studio and the pet one, she loves helping the dog to pop balloons . She' really got the hang of it and switches it on and selects the correct app. We do need to buy a mains adaptor though because we're currently on the third set of batteries. My oh (aged 44) really loves it too and it keeps him quite for hours on end |

| Izzy has the innotab and loves it! I got a an app for colouring, which she uses quite a lot, as well as the art studio thats included She loves the e books too, they are great the way they can touch stuff! In general she just loves it, even just creating events in the calender, its good that it speaks and tells her what she is doing! |

| Does anyone know what the differences are between the innotab and the leappad or are they pretty much the same? |

| I think they're pretty much the same. We're made up with our leappad but can't really comment on which is best because I've never tried the innotab We chose the leap pad because Mario shared a voucher code to get 20% off at elc so that swayed it for us (as oh is a tight arse) If you go to toysrus or Smyths they have them set up so you could maybe go and try them out! |

| I can only speak for the leappad but its brilliant but hungry on batteries. We are gonna get some rechargeables and a 9v.
My wish list for her so far is pet pals. The ultrabooks aint gonna happen unless she gets some money for her bd. My only beef with the thing is how much the apps cost but then I tell myself if i had a ds or had gotten her a leapster or a vtech console cartridges cost a fortune and some of these can be gotten for a fiver so its not awful. Id like a princess ultrabook for her its just as and when I can afford it. Also the spongebob or toy story games methinks.
The leappad has camera and video and the quality isnt stunning but for a kids console its ok |

| Boy oh boy does this thing (leappad) suck the batteries! I didn't realize you could buy an adapter..altho looking at it now, there is a slot for one on the side. Maky likes hers, mainly the music and video, and has attempted a few tries on her game, but may just be a little too old for her. Her fave present so far is her tea set..I think I have about 40 cups of tea/coffee a day now. |

| How much are the leappad apps? The innotab ones are ok, about £2.50-3 each
The theme cartridges are dear though at £25 .. but earlier in the year argos had them bogof!
Yes a cable is essential - I managed to find one to fit, but they are only £8 or so anyway (for the vtech one anyway) |

| The apps are v expensive Lisa though it depends what they are for. They start at 3.50 for flash cards etc. Mini games like sugar bugs are 5 pound, things like art studio etc are 7.50, e books are a 5er then full out games (like you would get with a cartridge only you can install em onto the pad) and ultrabooks (god knows) are £20.
Needless to say so far I have the 4 it came with, 2 freebies i picked up and got a voucher from my sis to put on 3 extra games and havent spent owt else yet
Ive seen some of the cartridges down to a tenner though so keeping my eyes out for them |
