So we have the really annoying key prepayment meter thingies for gas and electric, I just got a statement and says i'm £93 in credit. Am I being really dumb? I thought being a prepayment you paid and used what you paid for. How am I in credit???

Does it mean you've spent £93 in that period? Or maybe they are taking money for a debt when there not suppose to?

did you have any debt on it ? you have not lived there that long have you ? , maybe previous tenants had debt and they have been taking it from you ?
have you noticed when you pop it in it takes money off for debt ? i really need to call mine as i ave noticed this and i have no debt with them
maybe they have taken too much for rental ? not sure how much they charge per year for use of pre payment meters

Thats odd, Ive only just got them so they started at zero and what i put on I use, so I am sure there could never be a credit unless I paid online
One thing maybe - did you have a direct debit set up with them ever? When I swapped from bills i had to cancel the DD otherwise Id have been paying a DD and onto the metre

I don't think its debt cause we changed company from what the girl before us had to the company we had in old flat when we moved in so everything would have had to be at 0 then surely. We paid off all the money from our old account then too. Only thing is if I overpaid then as it was ridicously high but i remember questioning it and double checking figures and it was right. Hmm... weird. Will call as I want to change to meter we can pay on DD anyway.
