I was just wondering if anyone had ever requested their medical records. What exactly do they give you access to, do you see everything?

You have to pay to see them I think. I wanted a copy of mine and had to pay £50 to get them but you are entitled to see everything x

i paid 50 pounds for mine hun i phoned the medical records office at the hospital they sent me a form out to fill in and you put down the dates ect and what u want to see if u get me.xxx u then send the form in to send bck and once they have your file out ect they then tell you in writting how much they want off you and if they havent heard in so many days i thin k its 21 days so 3weeks they put your file bck and u have to re request them hope this makes sense.xxxx

Yep, you can call Medical Records dept at the hospital and they send you a form to fill out.

My step mum is the Head of Medical Records at our hospital so we have been meaning to get Aimee's for months now (form is filled out). She said that her secretary has to copy every single page and we get total access to everything that is in it (Aimee's file is MASSIVE too, so I feel a little sorry for her secretary).

I had mine from pregnancy and I had Amelias. If you request within 6 weeks then they are free. Amelias were huge.

Thanks girls would like access to them as we had to fill out a form about welfare of the child as we are waiting on fertility treatment and they mentioned medical records. I'm just worried that my mental health history may go against us.
