Hey, the coterie has closed!! We're gutted!

I know, we were really shocked and upset as we go quite often and Ellie loves it lol. We haven't got anywhere to go for Sunday lunch or Christmas dinner!! The ring o bells is getting done up and I've heard there's going to be a restaurant. We're hoping that someone takes over the coterie.

I'm wondering if the owners David and Christine got into financial difficulty and had the restaurant as security. I hope someone does take it over. Jennifer Ellison may buy it, she spends enough time in there!!

I've heard a few people raving about the restaurant at the Hillcrest, they've got a new chef who used to be the chef at Harvey Nicholls and is meant to be doing a really good job.

They have got financial difficulties. I rang up and there's a message from David saying they've been forced to close due to a bad years takings and the current economic climate. It's quite sad as he goes on to thank all his customers and to say goodbye. To be honest I always thought David was a bit of a tit but Christine was adorable.

We tried the hilly the week it opened, we didn't like it, we felt it was below average trying to be classy lol. I might give it another shot though. We're trying the Crown tomorrow, we had Sunday lunch there a few weeks ago and it was nice but I wouldn't call it a restaurant. We called in in the way home from Vicky park and Sunday lunch was lovely (it's just a bit tatty in there) lol xx
