Would you clear up your puke?
Yes, absolutely! My poor neighbours don't deserve to be grossed out by that.

If, say, theoretically, you or your child or oh had puked on the road outside someone's house due to a medical prob/morning sickness or just too much to drink etc, and you or a family member lived really close by to where you puked, would you make any attempt to clear it up?

I ask because I would absolutely clear it up - the thought of a small child slipping and falling in my puke, an animal trying to eat it and getting ill Puke or just it being generally rank for the poor people that live there I would go the next morning with some soapy water and at least have a go at rinsing it down a drain! But, I have horrible germ issues so I might be thinking about it too much. Also the poor guy yesterday threw up through no fault of his own, I don't blame him for that, but just got me thinking about what i would do in that situation.

ps I will make no attempt to clear it up myself as i am clumsy as f***, and would fall face first in it or manage to splash it all over me and i can't cope with that Puke2 Laughing Laughing

Tbh, probably not in yesterdays circumstances. (Read post briefly last night but havent read replys)

In theory its the right thing to do BUT after a seizure Stuart would not remember he had puked or be in any state to clean it up for a few days. I was going to say I wouldnt be able to come and do it either as id be looking after him/unable to leave him especially as they have a baby to look after aswell... but being honest I actually probably wouldnt because I wouldnt even be thinking about the puke... Id be thinking thank god stuart & the baby ok, how stupid I was to let them out on their own, guilt at what could have happened, be looking out for further seizures/side affects.

Basically id be so stressed out of my tree vomit is the last thing id be thinking of! Sorry if that sounds selfish.

Again in other circumstances it depends how ill the person is/what care they need in the days after. However, if Caitlin was 15 and drunk then most definitely YES she would be out the next morning scrubbing for her life!!!

Snoops, that doesn't sound selfish at all! Reading it back I didn't word it very well at all, but I don't expect that guy from yesterday/his wife to come and clean it up Doh I was just remembering all the times i nearly threw up from morning sickness and the only thing that held me back was thinking that i'd make myself come back and clean it up! Laughing I am a bit of a freak like that! And I hated it when my oh threw up from drinking too much, hate it that other people have to be grossed out because he can't handle his drink Rolling Eyes

Aaand, I just remembered I threw up outside someone's house when I was a teenager (ate a dodgy chicken sandwich on the train home and could help myself) and i was so embarrassed/scared they'd tell me off that I walked a different route home for months Embarassed So I would love to say that yes I would clean it up, but it seems in reality i would just leave it for the pigeons!

Maybe I just have puke issues! Laughing

(was thinking of you yesterday and how scary it must be, and sent you a giant mental hug)

Nope, the rain would get it eventually, either that or the road cleaner/sweeper.

I'd make sure I vommed in the gutter or a drain if I was going to in public. Luckily it's not something I've had to worry about and hope I never have to. I think if some random did it outside my house I'd boil a kettle and then stick in some flash floor cleaner and then chuck that on it.

I think it depends on the circumstances but tbh I'm pretty unlikely to return to the scene to deal with my mess. I have a bit of a phobia of being sick and doing so in public is one of the biggest rareties for me. I would have to at least make sure it was in a drain or gutter or something.

When I was a little girl I remember I was sick in the street in Corfu town. My dad went and fesses up to the man whose shop it was outside of and be was sooo nice! He found me a little chair to sit on, sluiced it all down a drain, got me water and tried to feed me sugar cubes for energy!

I'd like to think if I knocked on someone's door I'd just thrown up outside, that they would respond positively (maybe not as nicely as that man) but I'm not sure! I think I'd rather someone do that than spew and run outside my house!
