Im still a little bit scared im going to be hunted down for the fake bid we did to get me off the hook!!!

- For those that dont know I bid £10 on a box! I thought it contained the foundation but didnt read the description, um or the title lol, properly. I messaged the seller and she said I couldnt retract my bid (as if she was going to let a prize A mug like me get away) so I set up a fake ebay account with a fake email address and got jade to place the bid from Cyprus incase they traced my IP.... not at all suspicious looking that the account was set up from my IP. God im thinking about this too much again!!! I really do have visions of me or Jade ending up behind bars for not going through with a bid!

Think it ends at tea time tonight. Cant wait to see the messages she sends me, its pretty obvious what iv done lol. Oh and incase anyone looking a plastic bag she is selling one of those to for the bargain price of £2.50... or an empty lipstick box?

Aye its not half obvious its fake either ... no bidding history, no feedback received or sent... changed the postage address on it after bid as id given a Belfast address with fake postcode when I first registered and thought that was too close to home so switched it to a Derry one (looked up royal mail postcode finder to make it all legit - how clever am I )

Exactly!!! I think it was a scam (trying to make myself feel better !!!). I think she started it off at 99p (reasonable enough for a box) and then one or 2 bidders got it up to £8 (her!!!). ....so when I searched benefit make up and saw the playstick for £8 + P&P it looked cheap, but the fact it was £8 and not 99p and had 10 bids on it made it look legit/sucked you in - and she still gets away with it as she started it at an appropriate price iykwim? I think she is hoping that people just search 'playstick' and dont read title (ok shut up if most of you do lol)

She claims its 'great for replacing damaged packaging' so I suppose she would claim its for small private sellers or if you've bought it as a gift and sat on the box

Oh snoopy - wish I'd seen this earlier - I would have advised the following:
Just
Don't
Pay.

It's complex, I know... but basically Ebay couldn't hold you to it, she can't leave negative feedback 'cos you're the buyer (even if they leave a negative 'positive' you can get it removed for breeching rules) and the worst you would have got is an unpaid mark on your account (which means diddly squat, really).

Distance selling regulations and the fact that she is selling a blatantly misleading item is all on your side (or was).

We were selling an item and buyer didn't pay, didn't respond to dispute, nothing - ebay refunded us, case closed. It's very annoying form a (ligitimate) sellers pov that buyers can do that though!

Hope it's no more stressful from here on in for your, I have a sneaking feeling you made things rather complicated! xx
