Why do i keep seeing posts saying ... is in Asda.. is it an application you can add, or does it update your status for you?

can just imagine it saying

its a new thing called places.. if u got a newish fone it locates where u are in the world and updates to fb where u are!! bit scary if u ask me x

its not how it seems. you ask it to do it, you do have an option. and if you are at home you can change the place name to pub or whatever you want so it isnt always true

does that make sense?

it might say they are at asda when really they are at a friends, because thats what they have told it to tell us

Yeah it's not as scary as it first seems - you dont have to 'check in' you chose to and you can turn it off. I did it a few times the other day coz i had just found the app and got a bit over excited . I then 'checked in' when I was in Nandos coz of a thread ages ago (on the other channel) by a certain person (ahem Amanda ) that got me craving Nandos and this weekend was the first chance I had - It was lush too! plus I didnt think anybody would turn up to Nandos, Solihull to stalk me
