tomorrow is GTT day ( glucose tolerance test )

gotta be in town at hospital for 8.30 am
OH wants to come with me but i say no for reasons listed
with him staying home the boys wont have to send themselves off to school and lock up house
D won't have to miss school
I wont have him sitting bored in hospital
I wont have to leave D with a neighbour

friggin shitting myself ! , tattoo me but dont take any blood from me

i do not want to go !!!! i dont want to drink an awful liquid , ill puke !

can i chew on sugar free chewing gum when fasting ?

Lol. You'll be fine, I get lucozade at our hospital, have mine next month. I wouldn't take OH either, it's just lots of waiting around.

It will be ok hun. Im like that too. The drink I had was like a tasteless sugary medicine and it was rank (sorry), and I was gagging over the sink, lol!

You will be fine though, you dont have to drink too much (I think it was about 100ml or something) and then its over.

I agree with you, I would rather go on my own too, it sounds like too much to organise if you get your OH to go with you x

am sure the test will be fine, the worst part is the wait in between...at my one with lumpy they allowed a person to leave and wander the hospital, but when i went for this one i was stuck sat in a waiting room,no mags, no tv nothing...and i had lewis with me!
the drink i had was like a lucozade mixed with coke...not the nicest but bearable x

I was allowed to leave too, i took A home for a nap and then went back up for my blood taking

im not allowed to leave , got to sit in a room been told to bring a book or dvd ,,,,, i guess even a walk round the hospital is a form of exercise that they dont want affecting results ?

the taste was not to bad if i am honest overly sweet and lemony

arrived at 8,30am bloods done at 8,40am drink at 8,45am ,bloods done at 10,45am and i was outta there !

yeah so was pretty disgusting , the consistancy i mean, i gagged at it all i could think about was swallowing sperm !!!! i swallowed pretty quick when she told me if i brought it back up we would have to start again
