I'm struggling to motivate myself to get organised for baby coming, when I was pregnant with Chloe I bought loads, had the nursery organised really early on etc, this time I've only got the pram, I've bought nothing else yet and quite honestly cba. Don't get me wrong I'm really happy about baby coming and excited I just can't seem to want to go shopping. Is it me or is this just a second child thing?

I hope it's a 2nd baby thing, i was still packing my hospital bag between contractions on the way to the hospital I think as we had so many of milo's things we could use for Noah there wasn't so much urgency, that and knowing what to expect i suppose? With milo couldn't imagine how life would change, but the 2nd time round there's not so much panic. hope that helps, I definitely don't think you're strange!

I think with first babies it's all so new and you're so focussed on it with the second you've more things going on with work and your other child. Maybe when you get closer you'll want to shop.

with lewis i still had a little excitement to get things sorted, maybe cos i had a girl and this was a boy so all that stuff was new,

but tbh with this one i'm 30weeks tomorrow and i've got 1 sleepsuit and 1 little jacket bought...NOTHING else! no pram sorted, no cot, no clothes sorted...i just can't motivate myself to do it

I was the same, packed my bag at 39 weeks I think. didnt buy anything until around 37-38 weeks.

I think it's a 2nd baby thing. I didn't do hospital bag till late and was finishing it off when I was in labour. I had clothes but again didn't sort them till really later. I think with second you just don't have the time to focus all your energy on baby like you do with your first.

I only needed a wash bag a change of clothes and H's outfit. but instead took a full little suit case like last time

it's just a 2nd child thing I think - it's not all brand new and you already have one child to care for. so don't worry it's normal

We the same, plus we using alot of Lucas's things so don't need a lot. Brought an outfit last week and. That's it.

We buying stair gates this weekend, we off in April so will get most of it then.

Plus been told by friends they giving us stuff.

The only thing I def want to buy rather than need is first outfit and coming home outfit.

But yeah def 2nd 3rd babies, we wasn't like this with Lucas but think that's cause he was so long wanted

Lol you can by the ready packed ones, they're called mama bags, I know bounty do offers on them from time to time, think I'm going to do that

is it weird that i hadn't even considered a 48hour stay being an option...in my mind baby is coming at whatever time and i'll be home by that night! even after knowing things can go wrong as i had to stay in for over a week with lily-ann! lol

no it aint weird ,, i had planned to be out with D pretty much after having her but because i was hooked up to that drip for contractions , they couldnt take the the , the ??? needley thingy out my hand for x amount of time

Definitely! I was even more laid back with my 3rd too. You'll find you'll have everything sorted by the time baby arrives I'm sure. Xx

Yep, I was the same too.

When I was pg with Aimee, the nursery was done and I was finished shopping by about 22 weeks. With Lily it was probably about 30 weeks, and with Holly I was even worse!

I could imagine i wont be so go go as Noah takes up a fair bit of my time and also working too. I prob be doing a lot of internet shopping lol. I also if i have another boy i have a fair bit of clothes also wouldnt need much because have already got it.
