When we moved into our house we were (and still are) on a really tight budget so anything we got was super cheap or donated from my family. So in our living room we've ended up with a deep plum sofa, a red rug, a cream rug, a light blue wide framed mirror ..
Not really the best colour combination!
We're having to get rid of the cream rug as it sheds rug fur all over our clothes, the sofa, the other rug - basically looks like a polar bear has shat all over the room about 5 minutes after you hoover it
So what colour do we go for with the new rug? My oh thinks brown
, I have no idea.
The carpet is light brown (but in a nice way!) walls are magnolia, bannisters and mantelpiece etc are dark wood. And regardless of the rug, what kind of colour scheme would you go for in the rest of the room to make a plum sofa and red rug work together?
