Sorry. I can't answer your question as I've never been induced. But I'm sure you'll be fine and have your baby in your arms xxx

Aww it is scary, I was so scared before mine, with my 1st I got induced and had a good few hours of bearable contractions from the pessary then hours of really painful contractions from the drip, but ended up with a c section anyway. With my 2nd I wasn't induced at any point, but it was just as painful! Laughing So I think i'm just rubbish at labour, so it would have hurt anyway.

On the other hand, my mum was induced and said giving birth to me didn't hurt at all! She couldn't convince the nurses I was crowning as they reckoned she hadn't been in labour long enough and she wasn't in enough pain. They had a quick look and saw my head, and panicked! Laughing

i really hope yours is as pain free as possible, and you'll be giving little bubs lots of hugs very soon!

i think the induction sounded worse than what it was ( for me )
i as given the gels on day 1 but they didnt work , i didnt want to stay in hospital so went home and arrived back at 8 in mornin , they broke my waters as was 2 cm dilated but she had poo'ed so was out straight to delivery and put on drip
if im honest and i dont know if its because im older than what i wa swhen i had my first 2 ,, i was so much more relaxed with the induction , knowing what was happening etcand it was an easier labour

good lck hun ,,, my friend was inducd this morning as not heard nothign for about 7 hours so hoping she is nearly there Smile x

I think everyone as different experiences, I wasn't induced, but only because he arrived on the Saturday, I was booked in for the Monday and was worrying about being away from rich for ages.

I really hope she makes an appearance soon x

aww hun im sure you'll be fine. i went the full 2 weeks over aswell- i went in at 3pm, had a pessary, started having back ache at 8ish...went to sleep, as they wouldn't let me go home...due to the fact i was term.
next day they had a good feel about, but i had a high cervix, so they couldn't break my waters...so i had another pessary! waited another 24 hours before they could get to break my waters. benji just didnt wanna come out though lol got put on drip- and pain is quite bad but i managed it...gas and air, and a half working epi Laughing
in the end with the drip i was in labour for 7 hours ish...but in early labour for over 40!!

all inductions are different...and i hope yours is a lot less tedious than mine was Very Happy

all worth it in the end though Very Happy xxxxxx
