Subject: scanners Thu Mar 15, 2012 11:30 pm

I need a new printer and want to get one with a scanner so I can scan photos. I don't want to print the photos on it but save them to the computer. What quality of scanner will I need. I've found one that's 1200 x 1200dpi optical resolution. Is that good enough or do I need something better? Actually that brings me to another point - can I save photos I've scanned in to my printer or can I only print them?
