| we moved in to a private rent in jan, and it just doesnt feel like our house, it is lovely, loads more room and a great garden, but i just dont feel like i can do stuff to it like paint it and change the carpets etc, i had stickers in the boys room before and i dont really want to get more to put up incase he doesnt want them up, the land lord is fine the only thing he said was no bright coloured paint, in our old house(council) i could do as i pleased and no one ever said anything, sorry kind of pointless really was just thinking out loud lol, x |

| ours is the same...at our old place the landlord wouldn't even let us put up a pretty border for lily-ann's nursery... this landlord is better and said we can decorate tastefully(last tenant went around the whole place with blue) but it just doesn't feel like there is that freedom to make it our own i can't wait to get a council place as we can do what we want there! |

| I know how you feel, we had a really horrible green in the first place we rented (private) and we didn't feel like we could change it. We eventually painted it but it never feels properly yours.

| it just makes it feel like its not home doesnt it, tbh i dont think it will ever feel like home, i think it was because the last woman had painted the kitchen bright green and many other colours around the house, lol maybe its just cos we had been in the old house for 10 years and the boys grew up there dont know really lol
i might ask him if i can paint it ? x |

| We have magnolia walls throughout, looks so bare, I've put some stickers on Lucas wall, but the old tenants redecorated throughout and did a poor job.
But no doesn't feel like home at all, wish we had stayed in my council house now, as we would have saved to buy but hey ho.
We moving once this lease is up, hopefully somewhere that feels like home |

| Im in private rented too, and its magnolia throughout, and weve just started decorating 'feature walls', on the deal that if/when we move on we will put it back to magnolia.
My house does feel like home, and will be gutted to ever leave it....we are in a lovely area, with a great garden/views.....and its just MINE MINE MINE, or ours I should say - lol. I love living here, its taken nearly 2yrs to feel this way though, I dont think you settle in for ages really.
You can get stickers for the walls that just peel off without a mark, even years later....we have them up in both the girls rooms, and they look lovely. |

| We are in private and it was magnolia throughout, we asked if we could decorate Chloe's bedroom, put some pictures up and do other stuff and the landlord agreed on the condition we put it back to the way it was.
Chloe's room is yellow with safari animal wall stickers.
I would ask if you can do some stuff to it to make it feel a little like yours.

| We rented a house for a year before we bought our first house nearly 11 years ago - it was a shitty house so we could decorate any way we wanted to (which thinking back wasnt brilliantly ) It's only been since Jan though hun so maybe give it a bit of time and it'll start to feel more like home? x |
