Little Joshy has had thrush on and off since about 2 weeks old. I think due to me being on lots of anti b's from labour until about two weeks in.

He has had two courses of nystatin and is on the second week of a course of daktarin but it does not seem to be clearing.

I have been using a daktarin cream on my nipples but finding it hard to consistently use as such a faff to put on and wipe off every single feed. But have been trying to apply as much as poss.

What is the next course of action for getting rid of? Its affecting feeding a little bit in that he is on/off the breast a bit more but still putting on weight etc. My end, noticed a little bit of pain occasionally between feeds and nipples more tender but other than that no real symptoms.

I had this with Chloe and you have my sympathy, they changed her from nystatin to another medicine myo something? ( can't remember the name but I'm sure if you google you'll find it) They also gave me an oral treatment to clear mine up and advised I saw a breastfeeding counsellor at the clinic as poor latch can cause it too, once I did all this it cleared pretty quickly

Don't forget to thoroughly clean and dry your nipples after each feed too as any moisture will make it worse
