What's your dream job?

Are you working towards it or is it purely a dream you don't think you'll ever achieved?

I'd quite like to be a restaurant reviewer or movie critic - something that combines what i like to do with writing, or maybe just a columist. I don't know if it will ever happen though. I don't really know how you get into something like that. I did wonder about setting up a blog to randomly write up some things but i doubt anyone would read it, guess it would just help me to practise writing skills though

My friends brother did that as an internship but didn't enjoy it and got another job. Not sure why he didn't like it but it was his dream job before

If we're talking about real dream world then to work on F1.

If we're talking achievable dreams to be a teacher which is what I do

My dream job was to be a Planning Officer for local govt. I achieved this and didn't enjoy it! Now it is to have my own successful sewing business, I'm getting there...

I agree Shell, it wouldn't harm to start writing your own blog. I'm sure we would all like to see it. It was only recently I realised how popular blogging was, and in relation to craft hobbies x

You're doing so well working towards being a midwife, really admire how you've gone back to college and soon uni with the kids. I'm too nervous to start study again.
I actually have a tumblr but i just reblog others pics and stuff, not anything of my own. Might start a blogspot though.

Fran - blogging is really popular these days. Do you have your own one now for your creations

I really want to teach primary special needs whereas now I teach teenagers with special needs, which I like but it's not my dream lol! I had an interview recently for my dream job in my dream school and there were 160 applicants and I got down to the last 2 and was devastated when I didn't get it Sad but it has made me more determined to get my dream job! x

My dream job is to work with children

It all depends on what happens with my job in April 2013 (as the funding runs out), they will either make us all redundant, keep us as we are or open recruitment as a Police officer if they do then I will join as a PC then specialise in Child protection.

If they don't then I will either do an access course next September then go to uni to study midwifery or Social work and change my career completely.

At the moment I am studying A level Psychology which will hopefully help me along the way.

Just go for it shell, whats stopping you

Shell you should visit an open day at a college and just see if anything takes your fancy! Bedford would probably be quite a good one for you. You never know how u will feel about getting back into education, it's really not as scary as you think I can promise you that! Smile
