| If you broke it then yes your responsible, but if it's damage by criminal act then I'm sure it's landlord, as his buildings insurance wouldn't be valid with a broken door.
Id google it, there's loads of advice on line about landlords and their responsibilities x |

| Yeah I'm sure it should be the landlord. I'd certainly try first. They may need you to report it to the police for the insurance though |
