From what other people have said, loads of stuff is held in church halls but aren't necessarily affiliated with the religion - maybe check out their website if they have one? My nearest has lots of stuff about opening the door to christ to their groups so I don't really want to go to their group! But some are just renting out their halls to groups of people

see thats what i kinda thought about. i made the mistake of going to a church hall group before. and they rammed religion down our throats! there isnt a contact e mail or number it just says turn up to enrol think i will ask my HV if she knows any others!! i read the reviews on the council hall and it really wasnt nice and got unfriendly comments!

I wouldn't think you'd have to be a catholic. Our baby group is at the church but anyone can go, at the song time they normally do one church song and sometimes read a short bible story but it's not too much. No way shoving it down your throat. It probably depends on who is running the group. Maybe go and try them out. Can't hurt really.

yeah I wouldnt say so. Iv put lillie down for preschool and preschool its a church school, but its only funded by the church thats it. Im the most un religious person ever!!!! we're starting the mother and toddler group there now friday but doesnt have anything to do with the church. only because its built on the vicarage grounds. I dont think they will even do church songs. Im like you dont like religion being thrown down my neck. x

I would think its just hired hall, there is a playgroup across the road from me in a catholic hall but its just run by a bunch of mums that are nothing to do with the church.
