curios as to how many of you live in upper flats ?
just been reading about a 3 year old that fell out window and sadly died Sad
I think if i lived in a block of flats my windows would forever be locked or barred , bars would have fore issues though eh?
guess same can be said for my upstairs Sad my windows open inwards at the top slightly or if you unlock them from that setting they open like a door and 1 of my bedroom wondows is about 4 and hald foot tall
my upstairs windows are always locked from wide setting and no keys are left in them , i have them hidden

I lived in an apartment on the 14th floor when Lilly was toddling round. The windows only opened an inch but the thought terrified me Sad
Then her dad kicked us out Rolling Eyes

lots of children here die from falling from balconies - and tbh we've not protected Tyler in that erm well tehre's nothing to stop him climbing on the rails but then we don't let him on the balconies so.. hmm maybe something to look into.

We're in a ground floor flat so not an issue for us (although on a separate issue Jamie only has french doors in his room which makes it hot and means he keeps escaping into the garden!).

Not sure what I'd do if I was higher up. I hate not having the windows open so I think I'd have to find some way that they could open but just a tiny bit

We lived in a flat when Immi was born, one floor up. The windows only opened a little bit and we didn't let her on the balcony really, was tiny anyways.

With the windows in our house we keep the wide opening setting thing locked so can only open a bit.

It's horrible hearing about accidents like that that could be so easily prevented
