| Erm I read the first three pages and then gave up because it was so badly written. Not sure I have much to add other than that. It was already boring me though |

| you need to get half way through the book to actually enjoy it. its really badly written i think but you need to give it a chance to get into the storyline. i very nearly gave up after chapgter 2! |

| Perhaps I'll try again. Not really that bothered about it though and I have about 200 books and probably more either laying around my house or on my kindle waiting to be read
I'm really not sure I can get over the bad writing either. I teach Year 8 girls that can write better than that (although I'd be a bit concerned if they did a creative writing piece on that topic!). I suppose that's the problem with teaching History and English. I'm so used to having to pick up on those things that I find it hard to tune it out |

| Mind you - saying that - someone at slimming world read all three this week and lost 7lb so perhaps I should give it a try!!!! I know I lost 6 without it but I suspect some of that was where I was ill. Perhaps I should try skipping to a good bit |

| Ana irritates me a little because of how naiive she is, and also some of the use of language is a bit mills and boon Christian, I'd quite like to have sex with him (in fiction obviously ) but I could never have a relationship with someone like that, being dominating in the bedroom is one thing but outside of it would piss me off. I didn't find it that raunchy, I thought it was saucy and light hearted, i guess it depends on the reader, my sister was quite shocked but she's been with her hubby for 24 years and is a prude! Movie I can't see how they would recreate it without it being a porno |

| Agree with Mandy. Ive just started the 2nd one even thought I thought it was a bit pants tbh but peer pressure and curiosity is making me carry on lol! I dont think its raunchy at all...just the spankings a bit odd. Ana annoys me....esp the 'oh my' oh my' 'oh my' grrrr!!!!!!! Christian....complete turn off for me....although seems to know what hes doing in the bedroom...id still 'do him' |

| Don't get me started. I honestly feel sorry for people who genuinely think this is good fiction and/or good erotica. It's not. It's poorly written grammer wise and poorly written sex wise. I'll admit i did enjoy that they got together and it all worked out but it was terribly cliche - third book is the worst for cliche and i have read MUCH MUCH better unpublished stories and its makes me sad that they might not get published but everyone is going crazy about Fifty Shades. I won't go on anymore as I could rant quite a bit.
I think the film will be a bit cringey tbh as i can't see how they are going to adapt it well but i look forward to be proven wrong.. we'll see. |

| The writing is fecking terrible and it's so repetitive in terms of the scenes and the language used, I actually skipped so many of the sex scenes cos quite frankly I didn't need to know that once again he was touching her 'sex' and touching her 'there' and 'oh...please' There are also errors which bug me like the times of emails....sometimes one replies to the email b4 the other one sent it lol I don't know what to make of it being a film....I guess it will be OK but I don't think it will be a blockbuster (mind you the amount of ladies that seem enthralled in it and thinking its like friggin porn that turns them on...maybe it will lol) I bought the e books cos I thought they must be good and kinda wondered if it was worth reading...Im not bothered that it was £10, its not the worst £10 Ive spent but certainly not the best by a long way! I dont think Id say it was MUST READ book though |

| I downloaded them for nothing and I can't say I'm impressed so far. They are very badly written and I'm the sort of person that hates being told what to do so don't think it does anything for me really

| Actually Lisa I was wondering if I should give it another go after the way people were raving and it was your status about her sex that put me off again. I think its only because it was a twilight fanfic that people were raving about it although its one of the things that put me off |

| Exactly Tam it only got the hype in the first place cause it was about Edward &Bella. People went crazy for their fave characters doing something dirty and it spiralled from there through word of mouth, not because it is a decent pic. It was only published in the first place i honestly think becuase they knew it would make a bit of money off the crazy twihards wanting more now twi is ending. |

| Yup Lisa it was originally a fanfiction that got published and literally just the names were changed so Ana is Bella and Grey is Christian. If you've read twilight you can very easily spot who is who. This is also why it pisses me off as she's ripped off a lot of characters really |

| Yeh I can now, totally see it, but its odd how it got such raves just cos of that isn't it
I feel cheated lol - I thought (b4 I got them) that people were mad about it cos they were good books, not just cos they were based on characters from good books! |

| i have enjoyed the first one just started on the second one. i did enjoy it. i k ow what you mean about badly written but i dont mind that if its a good story line. i find christian frustrating. i ciuldnt cope with him. alhough i would love a night in his red room of pain. ana annoys me. i would accept everything he offered me money wise lol. the only thing that bothers me is how his child hood affected him. he was 4 when his mum died so surely it wouldnt have affected him so much?? |

| I think you've missed the point about his childhood or maybe you've not got that far.. its a lot more issues than his Mum dying. I can't remember what cause i read a similar story and i'm getting confused between the two but there's more issues! |
