i had the opposite problem today, the hostess in frankie & benny's called me and my friend "girls". i am a woman, can't you see i have a baby!!

dont be daft fat housewives can wear flouncy scarfs too, i wear mine with extra flounce to cover the muffin top. x

I would need at least a triple flounce.

I would much prefer 'girls' to 'lady'....'get out of that lady's way'! Ugh! I'm not old enough to be a lady, I wasn't wearing a straw hat or a floral dress or anything !

i felt a frumpy mummy yesterday so today i put on a flouncy dress/top with leggings and knee high boots and straightened my hair why? to go to the school to collect the wean and get rained on hmmmpff

I'm going to be 30 this year and I'm not dealing with it very well at all, I feel like a complete frump, or even a flump!

Im also mortified - i got called a lady the other day too! NOT happy! ever since ive had a baby ive turned from a girl to a lady!

I think it's more depressing being the same age as students but being a frumpy mummy.

Benefits to being an old mom:

1 - Rolling up in your Lincoln Navigator..parking beside the small beat up old Civic's and popping the hatch to reveal the expensive Quinny stroller to the chavs and plebs at the park.

2 - Not giving a crap about showing up in PJ's and slippers to run quick errands up town.

3 - Knows her limits and can say NO when she doesn't feel like doing something.

4 - Can outwit..outplay..and outlast any thing her kids dish out.

5- Loses her sense of smell and isn't easily grossed out as she was when she was much younger.

6 - Using her arthritis as a good excuse to not volunteer at school functions or after school events.

7 - Has mastered making 4 course dinner in under 20 minutes that actually tastes decent.

8 - Thinks being called a MILF is a good thing!

9 - Slower paced means stopping to smell the roses and noticing the small things in life.

10 - More patient..I have more patience now than I did when I was in my 20's. Don't freak or flip out as easily as I use to.

LOL..I just realized how snobby I sounded! Hey..I was a young mummy once and drove the beaters and had 2nd hand everything..I also remember how I could stretch 60 bucks for the week for groceries. I got a few comments when I was preggers with Makynlee that I was too old and was insane for having a baby at this stage in my life. There are benefits to being a young mum..and benefits for being an older mum. xxx
