We've actually only just introduced a meal planner (on our first week still) but last week our shopping went down from £60-£70 to only £30!!!! (although no nappies etc). The things we have been eating are sausage cassarole, gammon and mash, spag bol, tuna pasta bake etc. xx

We spend between 30-60 pounds a week. that includes cotton wool, fabric softener and washing powder, nappies and food though if we buy like 12 toilet rolls or a box of fairy we don't need them for a few weeks so it's less. We do a menu planner each week then I usually do a big shop online which stops me buying stuff that isn't on the list! that includes cotton wool, fabric softener and washing powder, nappies and food though if we buy like 12 toilet rolls or a box of fairy we don't need them for a few weeks so it's less. Probably works out as about £250 a month it also means I eat a meal a day, before we did a meal planner I would just pick all day and when you are breastfeeding that isn't great! Could definitely manage with less money than we spend but it's fine for now We do things like chilli, veg lasagne, baked potatos, loads of pasta, fajitas/burritos, omlettes, sausage and mash, veggie burgers and one treat a week, then just bread and stuff for during the day so we don't need to venture into a shop!

I do a monthly online shop that stocks up our tins, packets, freezer, fridge etc that costs about £150, and then I do about £50 a month at a farm shop near us that stocks up our meat. I really dont like supermarket minced beef, gammon, or steak. Weekly meals in our house are: Chilli con carne Spag Bol Sausage, egg & chips (My fave!) Gammon & Egg Pasta n Sauce wth Corn on cob (If we need a quick and easy tea) Home made chicken fried rice Chicken, mash, stuffing, peas n gravy (de-lish!!) Or if were proper on a budget Good ole - Beans n cheese on toast xxx
