I dont know why i keep trying to help but i feel I have to I love him so much like he was my own but seriously i dont know what else to do this is what has happened He stayed at marcs mum and dads on Sunday as they only live 5 min walk from his school well Marcs mum sufferes COPD and had a bad turn and was rushed off to hospital yesterday in front of him in an ambulance well he was "too upset" to go to school so marcs dad let him stay home and he ended going to marcs sisters for a few hours where he was happy, laughing and joking not mentioned marcs mum once just played on computer. Today he was at his house when he has wond his brother up its his 5th birthday today and they couldnt get into the nearest town to buy him presents until this saturday so ceejay has jest been singing to him ha ha they dont love you they got you no presents your not wanted then proceeded to punch him in the head. He goes to the bus stop to get the bus to school 15mins later he is back saying i have lst my bus pass his mum looks in his trouser pocket and its there so aftera massive argument he is sent to school, after being told off all he keeps saying is you cant tell me off nan is ill, He refused to go to bed last night till 11 and he wont eat any healthy food in the sense he will just get up and throw his dinner in the bin and refuse to eat it unless its what he wants I am so close to the end of my tether with him we just dont know what to do you dont have to reply i just wanted to get it out x

Do you think he might just be "acting out" because of what happened to his Grandma? Some kids vent via being little dicks to people as they can't wrap their minds around on how to deal with upsetting events. BUT..in this case..because you have a history of him being a little Poo-Head in the past, he may just be using this as an excuse to get away with his bad behavior. I hope your MIL is ok and is on the mend hun. Hugs to you all. xxx

Well today we phoned his mum and last night he was cheeky, swearing refused to do homework we honestly dont know what else to do with him x
Marcs mum is much better hoping to send her home friday x

Wow, im sorry, but he sounds like a right little sod. I agree with Jen, I do think he is acting out, but I think that he may well be using his nan as an excuse... especially as this isnt the first time you have had problems with him. I have no experience whatsoever with older children so am useless at advice and knowing what to do, but he needs sorting out. My brother was a right sod too when he was younger too. Maybe its just hormones in boys? x

Ya know..was thinking..wouldn't it be great if we had an island we could ship off the pre-teens and teens that are being rotten and out of control? Sorta like an updated version of Lord of the Flies.. but semi-supervised. One island for the boys..and a separate one for the girls...can't have the two of them co-mingling!
