Well it was Alfies christening yesterday. The day was fantastic - had a brill time!! Once Alfie left at about 6 (he slept at my aunties) we had a good drink - ended up goin onto another few pubs and by 9.30 i was rather drunk!

I ended up tripping up some steps - fell on my wrist and it was hurting but not much (alcohol disguised the pain i think!!) I ended up goin home about 10.30 ish as i was so mortal!!

So i woke up at 5 this mornin in agony! My wrist was a funny bend 'S' shape and black n blue!! I could move my fingers so thought it was be a sprain so took some tablets n went back to sleep. The pain got too much so at about 11 we went to A&E where i had an x-ray n they confirmed ive broken it!! Not only broken - shattered! I have to go for an operation tomorro cos its so badly mishapen it wouldnt heal right. They have to put wires or plates in my arm to straighten it up!

Im gutted - in agony - feel stupid and have a 5month old to look after! i cant do anything for him - cant feed him or owt. I feel like crying

bloody hell! i hope it gets fixed!

though that'll be a great story to tell him when he's older!

Aww poor you.
I went out last weekend to say bye to my best mate as she was going back to uni and i got wasted and fell down the stairs too. I really hurt my back and could barely move for a couple of days and its still really sore now. Couldn't hold Immi or anything for ages it was horrible, so i feel your pain a bit there. Hope the op goes well. xx

poor you but ive warned you about the perils of drinking seriously though you must be in some pain I broke a few fingers once and that was bad enough, hope it all goes well tomorrow. x

lol my hubby is being really good actually. i havent done anything at all today except sleep = i feel awful!! and lazy!

im petrified bout tomorro -= ive never had an operation before!!

the pain is horrendous like - give me labour any day over this!! i nearly passed out whn getting an xray!x

You'll be sore a bit after..but they should give you some good painkillers after. Just make sure you follow their instructions on aftercare! NO housework or doing anything with that wrist for a good long time! xxx

Do they put you to sleep for the op? i assume they would. You'll be fine and just think of all the housework your oh will have to do for you!!!!
