| CC!!!! Sam has been ill since moving and has got out of his bedtime routine. I have been letting him fall asleep downstairs and hes been getting up through the night. So seeing as hes getting better i thought i would start CC. Jeez!!! 2 hours tonight. Hopefully it will stop him getting up through the night too. But the problem is hes making himself sick! Through coughing and crying. Huge pukes!! How can i stop him doing it |

| turn the radio on but tune it to between stations, static, like the fuzzy noise, turn it quite loud, loud enough so you'd have to talk loud over it - then leave him...it kind of shuts their brain off
a remote control radio is good cos you can peep in the door and turn it down once he has gone off without waking him! |

| Poor you Mara! Its awful listening to them so distressed. Caitlins only rarely went through a few days of not going to bed, its waking multiple times in the night has been my problem. My boss at the childrens home has young babies and she did cc with her eldest who was a nightmare to sleep. She said it took a week, was terrible but she just persevered. She was super strict though and just let her 18mth old scream it out. She wouldnt clean up the sick immediately, wouldnt change a poo bum, wouldnt go in to retrieve a lost dummy etc. I dont think I could be that strict. Her attitude was that it wasnt going to kill them and as long as you had monitor on to hear they werent choking or hadnt hit their head no harm could come to them... She just left her screaming.... Just to rub it in , atm im feeling quite smug as we can now say to Caitilin at 8pm 'time for bed, lets go' and she walks to living room door, waves goodnight to daddy, walks up the hall pushes her bedroom door open, stands beside her cot, I lift her in and she pops her dummy in and cuddles her bear to sleep ... but then she still wakes in night regularly Hope it gets easier with sam x |

| Serves me right for being so smug! Caitlin has been up every 15 min since about 1230am. Tried Calpol but doesnt seem to be helping.... she slept 14hrs the past 3 nights (730/8pm- 930am) so im guessing she sickening for something.... Cant decide whether to bring her in with me or persevere with going in every 20min or so to snuggle her in... Im gonna be a grumpy moo in the morning! |

| When Harry was little we had a music box that also played rain sounds, and the sound of your heatbeat and waves. He would fall asleep to the waves almost straight away!! Maybe something like this would help, you can get wave sounds on CDs if it helps xx |
